Psalms 63

The Thirsting Soul Satisfied in God.

O God, 1You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul 2thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a 3dry and weary land where there is no water.
Thus I have 4seen You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory.
Because Your 5lovingkindness is better than life, My lips will praise You.
So I will bless You 6as long as I live; I will 7lift up my hands in Your name.
My soul is 8satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth offers 9praises with joyful lips.
When I remember You 10on my bed, I meditate on You in the 11night watches,
For 12You have been my help, And in the 13shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.
My soul 14clings to You; Your 15right hand upholds me.
But those who 16seek my life to destroy it, Will go into the 17depths of the earth.
They will be 18delivered over to the power of the sword; They will be a 19prey for foxes.
But the 20king will rejoice in God; Everyone who 21swears by Him will glory, For the 22mouths of those who speak lies will be stopped.
